As a leading cloud infrastructure solutions platform, PipeOps empowers developers and organizations to deploy both simple and complex applications to the cloud effortlessly. We drastically reduce the deployment workload engineers typically face when preparing their applications for production environments.
At PipeOps, we continually push the boundaries of what’s possible, transforming how seamlessly anyone can deploy applications to the cloud. In the first half of 2025, we rolled out several powerful updates to make your deployment experience even smoother.
As we move through 2025, we are thrilled to share the latest innovations and improvements we’ve made to the platform. Our goal remains clear: to make cloud deployments seamless and more cost-effective.
In this post, we’ll walk you through the major changes and what they mean for you as a PipeOps user.
Deploy Workers and Background Jobs
One of the standout additions this year is the ability to deploy Worker and Job Projects directly through PipeOps. Many modern applications rely on background tasks, scheduled jobs, and asynchronous processing to handle workloads outside the main application flow. With this new feature, you can now:
- Deploy worker projects, which are ideal for long-running background tasks such as queue processing or event handling.
- Deploy cron jobs to schedule one-off or recurring tasks like report generation or data backups.
- Manage and monitor these background processes from the same unified dashboard.
This enhancement means PipeOps is now a one-stop platform for both web services and the critical background jobs that power them, reducing the need for external tools or manual server management.
Smarter Server Provisioning with Karpenter
We’ve added Karpenter as a configuration option when provisioning servers on your integrated cloud account. Karpenter is an open-source autoscaling solution that intelligently provisions cloud resources based on real-time demand.
Instead of manually defining resource parameters, you can now opt for Karpenter configuration, and PipeOps will automatically spin up the right type and number of instances as your traffic changes. It’s ideal for teams looking to optimize infrastructure costs without sacrificing scalability.
More Flexible Pricing Model
PipeOps adopted a usage-based billing model designed to give you maximum flexibility and value. We introduced 3 new subscription tiers: Grow, Scale, and Custom, with monthly and yearly billing options. Choose yearly billing to enjoy a 20% discount, helping you save more as your projects grow. No matter which plan you’re on, you only pay for the resources your applications consume.
Each plan includes a base usage allowance, so if your usage stays within that limit, you pay only a fixed subscription fee. If your application grows and exceeds the included usage, you simply pay for the extra resources used, ensuring seamless scalability without surprise costs. This approach keeps costs manageable for small projects while providing the flexibility larger workloads need to grow efficiently without unnecessary overhead.

Networking and Firewall Rules
As applications grow in complexity, so do their networking requirements. PipeOps now offers comprehensive networking and firewall rule management, giving you full control over how your applications communicate, both internally and externally.
With these tools, you can:
- Define granular access controls for your deployed servers.
- Restrict traffic to specific IP addresses, ports, or protocols.
- Quickly update rules as your application’s security needs evolve.
- Use built-in keyword options like any, internal, or private to easily manage traffic flows.
These features significantly enhance security, especially in production environments where tight access control is critical to protect your infrastructure and data.
Project Health Checks
PipeOps now includes a configurable liveness check to keep your applications stable and resilient. This check continuously monitors your deployed projects to ensure they're responsive and running as expected. If an application becomes unresponsive, the liveness check can trigger an automatic restart, minimizing downtime and reducing the need for manual intervention.
By enabling the liveness check, you help ensure your services stay available and maintain a high level of reliability in production.
Payment with Card Support
Building on previous payment options like Paystack and Stripe, PipeOps now supports direct card payments. This update provides a seamless, secure way to pay using credit or debit cards. It offers greater payment flexibility and convenience for customers worldwide. By expanding payment methods, PipeOps simplifies billing and reduces friction for users managing their cloud costs.
